I hope everyone has had a wonderful and safe Memorial Day weekend. There are so many families out there with loved ones who have served or are serving in our military this year. The dedication they have to our country is amazing, and should be an example to every person out there of giving back.

To celebrate the freedom our military has fought to protect, I will offer a 50% discount on any Premium or Senior Portrait package booked between now and June 30, 2010.

If you or a loved one in your immediate family are currently in the active military, I will provide a CD/DVD of all final images from the session at no charge! (CD/DVD is normally priced at $150).

There’s a forum that I’ve been a member of for several years now, dating back to the days when I was planning a wedding. The Best Destination Wedding Forum is a great resource for brides who plan to travel and combine their wedding with an amazing vacation. There are a ton of valuable ideas to DIY many things for your wedding, as well as finding vendors to help with those items you don’t want to tackle yourself.

Luke’s mom, Lisa, is a member of the forum as well and she and I have known each other for a few years now. A few months back, I offered to do some photos of Luke, not knowing that her own husband is actually very good with a camera! She and James brought Luke up to the little town where I live (Wylie) and we ventured around the city park and downtown area, using some of the vibrant colors for our backdrop.

Luke is super sweet, and he was such a good sport that day! It was FREEZING outside and his allergies were in high gear. But he was a little trooper who explored all the playground toys and store windows. He already has a strong sense of independence and likes to do things for himself. I have a feeling he’s going to be an amazing kid to watch grow up!
