Fall is my absolute favorite time of year! There is nothing like walking outside and seeing your breath in the air. Throwing on the favorite college sweatshirt, my favorite pair of hiking boots, and hearing the CRUNCH of leaves under my feet. Add to that an amazing landscape, full of the richest reds and trees that are so gold they look like the soft flame of a fire just starting, and it’s like being a kid in a candy store to be a photographer. Iowa has some amazing landscapes— beautiful old railroad bridges, rolling cornfields, and gorgeous farms. How could I not try to do some work while visiting family this fall?!?!?!

So, I’ve decided to offer a limited set of mini-sessions while I’m in Iowa in October. I’ve created two packages to choose from, one that is focused on prints and one that is focused on including a DVD of the final images with full printing rights. A nice “plus” to this offer, is that the images will be back in time for printing holiday cards! I have cut the prices as low as possible just because I love shooting in Iowa and would *love* to use the beautiful fall foliage for a backdrop. Be sure to email early since these spots are limited and will fill up quickly!

Back in February, I did a maternity/family session with an awesome couple and their son. This past weekend, I headed to their home in Frisco to meet the newest addition to their family: Baby Madilyn. This family has been absolutely AWESOME to work with, so I was looking forward to this second session. I was not disappointed! Kayden was just as much of a “ham” as ever for the camera, and Madilyn is just gorgeous! Kim has such amazing taste, so the outfits she selected and the accessories made for an amazing set of photos. My favorite was the zebra tutu with hot pink trim. Super cute! Madilyn was an angel during the 2-hour session. She was alert through most of it, wasn’t a fussy baby, and was very aware of sounds, color, etc… Both David and Kim have been wonderful to work with during both sessions!

I absolutely love being doing multiple sessions with a client. It’s such an amazing thing to watch families and children grow, and it’s always an honor to be chosen to document their lives and their memories. I am so very grateful for having the opportunity to work with them on two occasions!
