Determination.  That’s what she said is the one characteristic that defines her.  I can totally see that being true about Alex.  She has a dynamic personality, even just from what I’ve seen in her.  Quiet, yet fun-loving and quick to smile and laugh.

What impressed me the most about Alex’s submission to the Senior Rep program, was her eloquence and accomplishments.  Hers was a long list of student activities, community activities with her mom, tempered with an eloquence and business-savy approach.  Really, she was rather hard to resist for admission to the Senior Rep program.

We met in Deep Ellum for a fast session.  We had about 45 minutes before we completely lost sunlight, so we moved quickly around the area and still were able to knock out about 20-30 images.  Her application mentioned an interest in fashion, and I loved her outfit.  It wasn’t what I typically see kids wearing everyday.  It suited the location– edgy and urban.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years:    In 10 years I plan to have my Doctorate and own a Marketing Firm. Also I plan to eventually go back into my community and help others.
